LX-60T100R Hydrocarbon-refrigerated Centrifuge by Haier Biomedical and Resonant Clinical Solutions

General
The LX-60T100R is a refrigerated benchtop centrifuge jointly developed by Haier Biomedical and Resonant Clinical Solutions, purpose-built for clinical trial and biobank sample processing.
Engineered around a natural hydrocarbon (R290) refrigerant with a global warming potential (GWP) of approximately 3 – down from more than 1,400 in legacy F-gas systems – it substantially lowers environmental impact, while safely containing flammable refrigerant even under worst-case rotor failure. The innovative, customer-centric, reliable, and sustainable centrifuge launched two years ahead of the 2028 EU and U.S. regulatory deadlines restricting high-GWP refrigerants in laboratory equipment.
The LX-60T100R is available for purchase or rental exclusively through Resonant Clinical Solutions for existing customers, clinical trial sponsors, and CROs. Contact Resonant to inquire about availability.
Features
- Natural hydrocarbon (R290) refrigerant with GWP <3 — a >99.9% reduction in potential refrigerant climate impact and >80% reduction in refrigerant quantity compared to the previous model
- ECO fastBlast rapid pre-cooling, bringing the centrifuge and rotor from room temperature to 4°C in approximately five minutes, using up to 43% less energy per cycle than standard continuous-refrigeration models
- Compact benchtop footprint at 46 kg — a 19% weight reduction from previous models, easing freight, transport, and installation
- 7-inch glove-responsive touchscreen with pre-loaded speed and rotor profiles matched to routine clinical trial workflows, including blood collection tubes, 15 mL and 50 mL conicals, and bottles up to 100 mL
- ±5 rpm speed accuracy with 1-second time increments and precise temperature control for repeatable, reliable results
- Password-protected individual user logins with per-user data management, bringing audit-trail accountability to every run
- Pre-configuration service: Resonant offers an optional pre-shipment configuration to meet clients’ site-specific process requirements before deployment, reducing setup burden and the risk of programming error
- RFID-tracked rotors that automatically log completed cycles and flag approaching end-of-service-life, replacing handwritten maintenance logs
- Bespoke biocontainment rotor lid with automatic self-locking and intelligent lock monitoring, protecting staff from sample exposure if a tube breaks mid-run
- 316 stainless steel centrifuge chamber — rust-free and easy to clean
- Low center-of-gravity design (amplitude under 0.015 mm) for smooth, highly efficient centrifugation
- Gas spring door design for safe, effortless door opening
- Self-check function confirming operational status before each run, plus electronic leveling assist for installation
- USB port for exporting operation records — speed, time, temperature, curves, and alarm history
- Drainage tray preventing internal water accumulation
- Automatic power-off between runs, reducing energy consumption and compressor/fan noise
- Quiet operation as low as 52 dB(A), suitable for patient-adjacent clinical settings
Applications
- Clinical trial biospecimen processing at decentralized and site-based locations
- Biobank sample preparation and storage workflows
- PBMC and plasma isolation supporting biomarker-driven trial programs
- Patient blood sample handling that requires biocontainment and audit-trail documentation
